Low in Sugar - Great for Keto / Controlled Diabetics
If you are looking for an inexpensive, good quality very very dark chocolate that is low in sugar and contains zero artificial sweeteners, this for you. If you are a well-controlled diabetic who is able to enjoy a very low sugar treat or you are doing keto or some other low-carb diet, this is an excellent choice. The chocolate tastes delicious but, of course, quite bitter since it's low in sugar and super dark at 90% cocoa. I eat no more than 1/5 of the bar per day and not every day. It's great when you just really want chocolate or something a tiny bit sweet without all the bad consequences. The trick is... don't eat other carbs in the same meal with this; although, sometimes I will put a teaspoon of peanut butter on this and that adds a small amount of additional carbs but way more fat so my blood sugar won't rise quickly. A half serving (1/5 bar) is 3.5g net carbs. So, you can enjoy this if you aren't combining it with lots of other carbs. This small amount of sugar carbs is safe for most diabetics (for reference, a cup of milk has nearly 12g of natural sugar/carbs). I like the taste but not everyone will... you have to be a fan of super dark chocolate and enjoy the bitterness. It smells and tastes great to me. You'll have to try and see. Meanwhile, it's a much healthier option with the added benefits of being high in antioxidants and other good nutrients for your body and mental health (in small amounts). If you find this is too bitter, try something less than 90 and more than 70%. Anything below 70 is basically candy. This 90% bar is certainly not candy. Give it a try or start with 85% and move up or down, depending on what you can handle. I highly recommend this chocolate. Enjoy! : )

Great product but Green Tea exists
Ordered 78 and 90 percent to get an idea for the range, I read over 75 percent is ideal. Both bars have great presentation and consistency, they were delivered cold. I can see myself enjoying the 78 percent bar but no way am I ordering 90 again. The taste for both leans towards bitter but 78 had a touch of that richness you would expect from normal chocolate, 90 made me imagine I was somehow eating the wrapper along with the bar. I think I'll stick with green tea and order 78 every now and then. Two great antioxidant sources.

An acquired taste but it’s chocolate for sure
Dealing with sudden diabetes and a chocolate lover. They tell you dark chocolate has health benefits and can be eaten by diabetics. Wooooo eeeeee this chocolate is bitter…but once my mouth settled down it filled my need for chocolate. I think I’ll be grating some of this into cookies or cakes to moderate the taste.

Quality dark chocolate, but flavor is rather blunt
I am a big chocolate lover, and I’ve been trying to switch to darker, lower-sugar bars lately to help me cut back. The Lindt 90% Cocoa bar seemed great for this, mainly because of its minimal sugar content. I found the key to this particular bar is pairing it. It works perfectly when I enjoy a square or two with a hot cup of coffee and a few almonds after lunch. When I eat it alone, the flavor feels rather blunt and doesn't have much complexity. It’s not strongly bitter, but I’d describe the flavor as a bit soil-like - not fruity or smoky like you sometimes get from very dark chocolate, just flat and flavorless. This is definitely a chocolate that needs a supporting cast! The good part is how thin the squares are. It makes each piece feel precious, which actually helps me savor it more slowly. The low sugar is also fantastic for guilt-free snacking. Just be aware that because it’s so high in cocoa, it doesn’t have the smooth, buttery texture of a 70% bar. Final Takeaway: This is a low-sugar dark chocolate that's good for moderation and works well when you pair it with something as simple as coffee and nuts. If you want a quality 90% bar for daily snacking, this may be a good choice, but don't expect complex flavor.
